Wahoos Move on to Liberty Cup
|
The Pensacola Wahoos are on to the Liberty Cup, having knocked out the St. Augustine Suns 4-1.
The final blow came tonight at Pensacola Stadium, where Pensacola sealed the League Championship Series with a 7-4 triumph.
Toni Rrustemi was instrumental in the series win and was given MVP honors. Rrustemi hit .412 with a .545 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Pensacola Wahoos will play against the Orlando Oceanics in the next round. Orlando won their series against the Miami Aces 4 games to 0. The Liberty Cup schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
