Tallahassee Beats St. Petersburg 5-0, Lozano Ks 15
|
Tony Lozano of the Tallahassee Bandits put on a pitching clinic today at Tallahassee Field as he struck out 15 St. Petersburg Crocodiles in a 5-0 victory. Lozano, who is tied for 2nd in the LLW in strikeouts with 179, was simply magnificent as he held the Crocodiles to 2 hits. He walked 0.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Lozano said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Lozano's performance, Bandits manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
This year Lozano has collected no saves in no relief appearances. He has also compiled a 7-2 won-lost mark with a 3.62 ERA and fanned 179 batters in 117 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .221 clip in 2065.
