Silver Hawks Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 23rd , 2065 Even the most die-hard fans of the St. Cloud Silver Hawks will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Silver Hawks starting pitcher Brian Murray. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." St. Cloud last appeared in the postseason in 2052. This is their 13th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 38 times in their 53-year history. St. Cloud last won the Liberty Cup in 2052. |
