Great Day for Dorr -- 5 Hits
Saturday, August 29th , 2065
It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Chris Dorr of the Sunrise Gators.
The Sunrise shortstop gave it his all and dominated Orlando Oceanics pitching today at Orlando Stadium, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Oceanics going home the winner, 10-8.
"There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Dorr said later. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead."
Chris Dorr singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Cody Huhman in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
Dorr is currently batting .360 with 10 home runs, 60 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 103 hits in 286 at-bats.
