Going, Going, Gone! Doiron Hits 3 Homers
Wednesday, September 2nd , 2065
Tallahassee Bandits bombardier Bruce Doiron set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 21-7 win over the Jupiter Spuds today.
"I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Doiron told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it."
For the game, the Tallahassee first baseman had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 7, and scored 4 runs.
Bruce Doiron flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ricardo Rodriguez in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off David Alvarez in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Luis Toribio in the 8th.
On the season, Doiron is batting .363 with 29 home runs and 86 RBIs. He has played in 81 games.
