Nunez Homers 3 Times Against Punta Gorda Sunday, September 6th , 2065 The Punta Gorda Bulldogs knocked off the Delray Beach Grasshoppers 16-8 today in spite of a fantastic performance by Grasshoppers catcher Chris Nunez, who Nunez drilled three home runs but couldn't bring home the victory. "It's like going to the prom with the prettiest girl in school, having a great time, but then not getting a good night kiss," Nunez said later. Nunez finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Chris Nunez hit a solo-shot off Tony Ramirez in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Tony Ramirez in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Pohl in the 8th. So far in 2065 Nunez is batting .344 with 16 home runs, 100 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has 97 hits in 282 at-bats and a .471 OBP. |
