Punta Gorda Eliminated from Playoff Contention Sunday, September 13th , 2065 Coming close doesn't make missing the playoffs easier for the Punta Gorda Bulldogs. Club manager said it's a "tough pill to swallow" as the club has now been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Punta Gorda last appeared in the postseason in 2063. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 45 times in their 53-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Bulldogs have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
