League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Kissimmee Prevails
Saturday, October 5th , 2069
The fans in Kissimmee are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Punta Gorda.
The Kissimmee Rage finished off the Punta Gorda Bulldogs 11-3 in the deciding game of the League Championship Series played at Bulldog Grounds.
They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the Liberty Cup.
For his standout play, Kissimmee first baseman J.P. Keefe was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.
He batted .345, drove in 20 runs and scored 9 to lead his club to victory.
"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Keefe and that doomed us," said Bulldogs manager . "Hats off to Kissimmee, though. That was a great series."
The Kissimmee Rage will play against the Orlando Oceanics in the next round. Orlando won their series against the Sunrise Gators 4 games to 0. The Liberty Cup schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
