Maldonado Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Friday, September 1st , 2045 The Punta Gorda Bulldogs tripped up the St. Augustine Suns 11-4 today. The Bulldogs were led by Marc Maldonado, their 20-year-old center fielder. Maldonado made life miserable for St. Augustine pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Marc Maldonado singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Edgardo Bishop in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
