van den Boom Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Tuesday, May 25th , 2049 Karst van den Boom has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Redington Beach shortstop picked up 1 more today against the Delray Beach Grasshoppers and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Panic won the game 8-4. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Karst van den Boom singled in the 1st, walked in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. In the 2049 season van den Boom is hitting .295 with 3 home runs. |
